Power of Coaching

Career and life coaching can cover all aspects of your life and is in a way similar to athletic coaching. As your coach I encourage you, motivating you to achieve what you want to achieve. Coaching empowers you to greater personal and professional effectiveness. Think of it as taking steps to become the powerful director of your own life.

Coaching is more than conversation. The power of coaching flows from its focus on taking action. We agree homework or assignments and it is these actions which help you reach and often surpass your goals more quickly than you would do alone.

Let's get started

The experience of a coaching partnership will help you create the life and work you want. Give yourself the gift of coaching!

Here are some questions to set you thinking:

  • What are three opportunities that you're overlooking right now?
  • What is the one change you could make that would make a real difference to your life?
  • Could you use clarity in some aspects of your life?
  • What does success mean to you?
  • What is your life long dream?
  • What do you want in the next three months?
  • Is your life in balance?
  • Do you long to have more time for yourself?
  • Do you enjoy your work?
  • What would it be like to unleash your potential and that of your teams?
  • Is your business growing as fast as you want?
  • Do you wish you could contribute to making the world a better place?
  • Would you like to know what coaching is?
  • What inspires you?
  • What do you want more of in your life?
  • What do you want less of in your life.

Through coaching you capitalise your strengths, balance priorities, take a step back from the detail and view the bigger picture. As your coach I will focus on your agenda and your success. As your coach I will be a catalyst for change and together we will focus on creating strategies for moving you to where you want to go - fast. We will create a momentum for faster results.

Look well to this day.
For it is life -
the very best of life.
In its brief course
lie all the realities and truths of existence,
the joy of growth,
the splendour of action,
the glory of power.
For yesterday is but a memory
and tomorrow is but a vision.
But today, if well lived makes every yesterday
a memory of happiness and every tomorrow
A vision of hope.
Look well therefore to this day.

Frequently asked questions

What is a coach?

  • A coach is someone who makes a difference in your life: provides a focused relationship and promotes self-expression and personal and professional development. A coach is someone who wants a lot for you and is committed to your success.
  • Coaching is a profession with its own procedures, standards, ethics and certification process.
  • ideally a coach has qualified and is accredited with a reputable coach-training course and is a member of a professional association, which monitors ethics and standards.

Is a coach like a therapist?

  • No. A therapist or counsellor will usually explore emotional issues and your past or help you cope with crisis. A coach works with you to improve your present situation, enhance the quality of your life and create new possibilities for the future.

What does a coach do?

  • A coach partners you to specify what you want, set targets, and devise and implement effective strategies to reach them. A coach works with you to resolve problems and to stay focused and on track, giving specific suggestions and making requests for action. In other words you identify a gap between where you are and where you want to be - and the coach helps you bridge that gap.

Does it matter where I live?

  • No, not at all! As long as you have access to a telephone we can work together. If you don't have access to cheap rate calls outside the U.K., I will call you. I welcome international enquiries and have worked with people in many countries including Brazil, Greece, USA, Sweden and Australia.

How does it work?

  • Coaching takes place during regular sessions in person or by phone. We schedule regular appointments at your convenience. This system is clean and simple. Using a myriad of coaching techniques, I partner you as you face challenges, reach goals, explore options and maximize professional and personal opportunities. Naturally all our sessions are confidential.

Can I have a free consultation?

  • Yes. I am happy to talk to you about what you want from coaching and answer any questions you may have about my coaching service. This is an opportunity for you to clarify how coaching might benefit you.
  • There is no obligation following the call and no fees are charged. A complimentary consultation is a good way for both of us to decide whether we work well together.

How can I find the right coach for me?

  • If my practice is full or you want a coach with a particular speciality or different fee structure, I can match you with the right coach for you. I work with a network of coaches and following a free coaching consultation to clarify what you are looking for, I can recommend a coach who matches your particular requirements.

How long does someone work with a coach?

  • For coaching to be effective a minimum of three months is the usual term. However, some issues can be quickly resolved by short-term coaching, while some individuals work with me for a year or longer.

What is the next step?

  • The best way to find out about coaching is to contact me to arrange a complimentary coaching consultation and from this, you will get an idea of what coaching has to offer you.
